The Story
Musician/composer and BMI songwriter Rick Hirsch's roots are in the Deep South — Georgia and Alabama. On the Gulf Coast, he grew up in the land of Drivin' Miss Daisy and down the path from Forrest Gump, often falling asleep with a guitar in hand. After graduating from the University of Alabama (Biology/Chemistry), he did the obvious and began to play guitar professionally.

Birth of Wet Willie
Forms nucleus of Wet Willie; guitarist and principal writer of songs like Country Side of Life, Everything That 'Cha Do, Lucy Was In Trouble, Keep On Smilin'.

The Capricorn Era
Based in Macon, GA; signs after playing three songs at Frank Fenter's warehouse audition; learns music industry firsthand. Wet Willie enjoyed nine charting releases including a Billboard Top-5 hit.

West Coast Sessions
Moves to LA; tours and records with Cher and Gregg Allman; sessions with Randy Newman; works under producers Lenny Waronker, Russ Titelman, Glyn Johns, Henry Lewy, and Tom Dowd.

Joan Armatrading
Guitarist on three albums, two world tours with acclaimed British singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading.

In Sync Music Productions
Launches company scoring for TV/film/ads (NBC, ABC, ESPN, CNBC). Performs monthly in LA with Billy Vera & The Beaters. Songs recorded by Alabama, Tina Turner, Cher, Bonnie Raitt, and others.
